Why Choose Epilog?

There are so many reasons, and so many options...

A Fresh Approach to a Traditional Model

Epilog is a 100% woman owned and operated, collaborative, client-centric, ethically and socially responsible company. Our team values integrity, trust, authenticity, and compassion.

We Value...

Personalization
It’s your choice. We take the time to learn about the person, and endeavor to facilitate and enable their wishes and choices. Our goal is to help each family have the experience that is most meaningful for them – and that best reflects the person who has died. Epilog listens to what each family wants and respects their diverse wishes, traditions, lifestyles – it’s not about “our way”!

Creativity
We encourage creative ways to acknowledge and celebrate the lives of people. Epilog respects faith-based choices as well as the wishes of those with a range of spiritual or secular views and beliefs. We strive to fulfill each family’s unique goals, from a simple home-based celebration of life to a formal faith-based funeral ritual in a church.

Environmental Sustainability
We are enthusiasts of natural (green) burial and we recognize there are many shades of green. We strive to be as green as possible in everything we do and we gently encourage others to do the same (while respecting personal choices).

Community Learning
Epilog participates in community activities and offers presentations and courses to support and normalize conversations about death. We pay special attention to children who may be having their first experience of a death of someone in their family.

Compassion and Well-being
Death is an emotional experience and grief is natural. We serve the families and friends of those who have died with care, before and after a death has happened. Our work is emotional for us too, and we feel it deeply. Epilog takes care to ensure that our team members have the time and support to ensure care of their physical and emotional well-being.

Integrity
Honesty, fairness and transparency are foundations of our work and the way we serve our clients with kindness and empathy.
